International Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Fascism: The University Pays Tribute

Today we honor the memory of the millions of people who became victims of fascist terror. It is a day of mourning and a reminder of the terrible price humanity paid for hatred, violence, and disregard for human dignity.

V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, together with the global community, bows its head to all whose lives were taken by this criminal ideology. We remember that dignity, freedom, and the life of every person are the highest values.

Today, as Ukraine once again fights against Russian aggression and violence, this tragedy feels especially close and painful. The strength of our memory supports us in the struggle for freedom, for the future of Ukraine, and for a world where such tragedies will never be repeated — where knowledge of history becomes a solid foundation for the absence of violence and discrimination.
